Change in blood sugar level after 16-week administration of magnetized water was evaluated by scientific team of H. Lee (2009) in animal model. They tried to either confirm or disprove speculations about the therapeutic effects of physically altered basic substance necessary for life – water.
Water changes its physical properties when exposed to pulsed electromagnetic field. The term “magnetized water” is then used for such altered water.
Magnetic water has been used since the 1930s. It is still not wide spread probably because its efficacy has not been completely understood. Some experts have reported therapeutic effects on the human body, especially on the digestive, nervous and urinary systems.
This study examined the effects of magnetized water for 16 weeks by comparison with the control group. From the 10th week, significant differences in the concentration of sugar in the blood started to appear.
After completion of the experiment, the glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) was analyzed in the collected blood samples. HbA1c reflects average plasma glucose concentration over the time period of 4-6 weeks.
In the group which was given magnetized water, glucose was bound to only 9.7% of hemoglobin, while in the control group it was bound to 12.4% of hemoglobin.
Magnetized water in this study therefore showed an antihyperglycemic effect.
The results show an interesting therapeutic effect of magnetized water in regulating blood glucose homeostasis.
